Broad UK and international mergers & acquisitions, private equity and corporate finance experience for deals valued up to £100 million. Worked closely with third party principals and external advisors on structuring and negotiating the deals.
Determined and managed strategy for IP protection and exploitation across the group worldwide including in relation to registering trademarks and logos globally, monitoring for infringement, taking enforcement action and/or opposing third party claims and putting in place a suitable domain name management system and policy. Negotiated and advised on complex deals valued up to $60 million in relation to exploitation of IP worldwide.
Worked closely with the Global CPO/Head of HR and advised on a broad range of UK and international employment issues, including contractual and contentious employment-related matters, use of EoRs, redundancies, restructuring of teams and disciplinary action.
Integrating businesses into a larger group of companies (from a commercial contracts, corporate/M&A, employment, IP and other legal perspective) as well as a subsequent reorganisation and restructure of some of the key business divisions.
Setting up and supporting the growth and expansion of new businesses, including a new UK business division within a large media/entertainment company which after 1.5 years from launch, was actively developing 45 projects.
